Joanna studied Foundation Art and Design and B.A Hons Product Design at the University of Ulster in Belfast. She graduated in 2006 and worked for a local architect, before starting her own business in 2007. Joanna has done a few jewellery courses, but her work is mostly self taught as she wanted to try to create a different and unique style of jewellery.

Joanna is a member of the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses), Craft Council of Ireland, Craft Northern Ireland and County Down Crafts and other organisations.

aura provides innovative, distinctive and handmade jewellery designs through use of colour, material and attention to detail. There are several two ranges of jewellery available - Lifestyle and Elegance. aura is also able to take orders to create custom designs
